Assessing the need for housing and related support for drug users engaging in treatment

In order to consider the extent to which drug users engaging in treatment services are getting access to the housing and related support they need, when they need it, it is necessary to answer the following questions:

  • How many drug users in treatment need access to accommodation and/or housing related support?
  • What types of housing and support do they need?

This section of the Toolkit provides you with some ideas about how to assess local needs in your area – both in relation to numbers of accommodation and support places required, and the types of accommodation and support required. Click on the links on the right hand side of this page.
